Sodexo Stuff the Bus 2009

A huge THANK YOU to WIU and the surrounding community. You donated 14,401.5 pounds of food. Some of the other top colleges and universities are:

University of Findlay 17,825.03 pounds
Western Illinois University 14,401 pounds
Rollins College Orlando 12,293 pounds
Colby College 8,468.50 pounds
Lewis University 7,628 pounds

WIU and the surrounding community have set a goal of collecting 25,000+ pounds of food to Stuff the Bus. If you ride the bus this week, IHC has collection boxes on all of the bus routes, be sure and drop off your donations. You can also drop off your donation at the Sherman Circle Guinness World Record Stuff the Bus or any dining center on campus. We need non-perishable foods such as canned Sweet Potatoes, Stuffing Mix, Vegetables, Pie Filling, Instant Potatoes just to name a few. We are also accepting cash donations to purchase turkeys.

Where is this food going? We are also teaming up with the Black Student Association to help them collect 150+ Thanksgiving Baskets to needy families in the area to be delivered just in time for the holidays and we will provide food for the R.A. Council Salvation Army Thanksgiving Dinner. All the remaining food will be given to Loaves and Fishes Etc. and stay right here in the Macomb community!

There are residence hall floor wars going on in Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner. The floor that donates the most food will win a pizza party and the individual that donates the most food will win an ipod nano!
